The date for the next site visit in Kos will be determined later.
The President outlined four key areas of responsibility for the Executive Board:
3a. Congress: He emphasized the success of the recent Congress and stressed the importance of continued awareness and promotional efforts to further enhance its impact and reach.
3b. Summer School: He acknowledged the success of the Summer School held in Sicily, recognizing it as a valuable initiative.
3c. Website: He pointed out ongoing issues with the MFPRM website and highlighted the need for a complete redesign and update.
3d. Committee of Residents and Young Specialists (CRYS): He underlined the importance of reactivating CRYS, which functions as the Young4a. Jorge Lains emphasized the need to address ongoing challenges related to the promotion of congresses. He remarked that the recent Summer School appeared more as a SIMFER initiative and stressed the importance of reinforcing MFPRM's role in such events. Regarding the website, he proposed that future congress host countries could be asked to contribute a larger financial share. Additionally, he recommended that each member country appoint at least one representative to CRYS to foster greater interaction.
4b. Iuly Treger expressed concern over the apparent lack of interest in the website. He suggested reconsidering any financial investment in the website and proposed leveraging social media as a more effective alternative. He also noted that one representative per country might not be sufficient for CRYS.
4c. Nicolas Christodoulouhighlighted the importance of advancing harmonization. He emphasized that efforts should focus on harmonizing the structure of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (PRM) across Mediterranean countries to promote consistency and collaboration within the region.
4d. Ilker Yagci addressed issues related to the website and the membership recruitment process. He stated that the development of a new website would require funding and highlighted the need to update the list of members as a priority.
4e. Ahmed Amine El Oumriproposed an integrated social-media presence - Instagram, LinkedIn, and a moderated Facebook group - linked to the website to promote events/courses and engage younger members; advised each SIG to establish its own mailing list and WhatsApp group to coordinate and gather input on course needs and the congress program.
4f. Asmaa Mahmoud proposed the creation of a strategic plan with clearly defined objectives aligned with the points raised by the President. She suggested subdividing responsibilities to ensure more effective monitoring and implementation.
The date for the next site visit in Kos will be determined later.
* The meeting concluded at 13:30, with the President extending his best wishes to all for an enjoyable time in Šibenik.
